SUYL-Etsy shops

I'm linking up with Kelly today for SUYL what you make or sell.

Between my two sisters and I we have 4 girls under 5 and we love dressing them up in girly, frilly, fun outfits and accessories. The three of us love to craft and enjoy making things for our girls and other people so a few months ago my sisters and I started throwing around the idea of starting our own little business and creating all things girly. At first it started as just something fun that we would talk about when we got together, but the more we talked about it the more we wanted to see it happen.

We've been praying that God would show us if this is something He wants us to do, and we are so excited to see where things go from here. Thanks for stopping by and taking a look at our creations!

Delicate Darlings

One of our specialties is our beautiful tutu-dresses. The tops are 2 crocheted 6 inch bands for total coverage and modesty.
There are 2 layers of tulle on the skirt for maximum fullness.

We also offer framed hair accessory holders
that accent any nursery or bedroom.

This is a fun way to display and
 protect your hair accessories

Accessory holders can be made with or with-out fabric. Here is one full of flowers.

Check out our Etsy shop and don't forget to like us on Facebook!

My sweet Ellie Belle

Linking up with Kelly for Show Us Your Life this week.

Two years ago little did we know our lives were about to change forever.
We found out I was pregnant in April of 2010. We both were pretty surprised!
In August we discovered that we were going to be the parents of a little girl.
I always told myself I wanted to have a boy first so that my kids would have a big brother to look out for them but secretly I really wanted a little girl. I never knew how much I could love someone.
Eleanor Ruth was born December 15, 2010

She is now almost 16 months old and I couldn't imagine my life without her. God has blessed us immensely with our little girl and I am so thankful to be able to stay home and care for her. These years are so precious and the days fly by, I feel like she was just a newborn yesterday. We would love to eventually add more children to our family and I am praying for another girl next. Although I would love to have boys one day.
I have twin brothers who are 4 years older than me and have always wished for a sister. (I am so thankful for my SIL's that God has brought into my life) I hope that I will be able to give Ellie a sister one day. I love dressing her up and putting her in dresses with big matching flowers. She is the light of my life and I am so grateful for her. It seems that I love her more each and every day.

She is such a little ham and loves to dance. All you have to do is say "wiggle, wiggle, wiggle" and she will dance her way around the room. She is always on the go and is just learning to climb all over anything and everything.

She is my littlest best friend and I love her so much!!

Show Us Your Life

Couponing

I was introduced to couponing by a friend this spring and now I am addicted!
I am not "crazy" or an "extreme" couponer but I do love a good deal.
I typically shop at Meijer but if there are some really awesome or FREE deals I will take a trip to Kroger.
One of the reasons that I love Meijer is that they have Mperks and Mealbox where you can save and print store coupons.
Because we all know store coupon+manufacturer coupon=best deal!
This is my go-to website for all things couponing. It's a local mom who does the match-ups for my area.

She matches the store ADs with the coupons and tells you what deals you can get that week.
It's amazing.
And a huge time saver! If I had to figure it all out myself I can tell you I would NOT be couponing!
This is another awesome site and I typically use it for the coupon database if I need something and want to see if there is a coupon out for it.
Here is another good site for printable coupons.

I know there are some awesome deals that you can find at the drugstores, but I haven't have to confidence to tackle that yet!

I think the most I have ever saved off of a grocery bill is $50, but to me, that is a A LOT!
And I really don't put that much time or energy into couponing. I think if I devoted more time to it I could save a lot more.
Typically I buy 2-3 newspapers a week. The rule of thumb is to buy as many papers as there are members of your family. If I know there is going to be some awesome inserts then I'll buy more (Diapers/wipes).
I write the date on the front of the inserts and put them in a file folder.
When it's time to go shopping I make my list, check here, and then clip coupons accordingly. If there is a super good deal, or something is FREE then I will add it to my grocery list.
(Pasta for .23 yes please. FREE gum? Of course!)
If there is something I need but haven't seen a deal for then I look in the coupon database and see if there is anything out for it. And if I have time I will thumb through the inserts to see if I am missing anything.
Another good idea is to go to the website of the product that you want to buy. Often times they will have links to coupons for you. Or you can always write them a letter saying how much you love their product and they will often respond with coupons.
SCORE!
In order to save money couponing you don't have to spend 35+ hours a week devoted to it.
Any amount of time you spend trying to save money will totally be worth it.

Now I have a hard time buying things without a coupon.
And I hate paying for things I know I can get for FREE or almost free.
Like toothpaste, deodorant, soap, etc.

Manufacturer coupons double (up to .50 in most stores) Store coupons do not double.
Here's a little scenario about pairing store coupons and manufacturer coupons.
Let's say that spaghetti sauce is on sale for $1.99 at the store.
There is a store coupon for .40 off and a manufacturer coupon for .50 off
This means that you will pay .59 for that sauce.
$1.99-.40-$1.00(.50 doubles)=.59
Not a bad deal!

DO
*Do get enough of a product to last you through the typical sale cycle. It takes about 12 weeks for an item to go on sale again.
*Do share coupons if you aren't going to use them. Someone once left coupons in the aisle for a product I needed. What a blessing!
*Do know your store's couponing policy. And always get a rain check if they are out of an item you need or they are having a good deal on.
*Do share your knowledge with others! Sometimes people are just afraid to start and don't know how!
DON'T
*Don't buy things you don't need or won't use. Even if they are free. Unless you are going to donate them.
*Don't clear the shelves, that is so rude. Just because there is a good deal on peanut butter doesn't mean you need 100.
*Don't buy things just because you have you coupon for it. That doesn't mean it's a good deal. It is ok to let coupons expire.
*Don't become a hoarder with your new-found love for couponing :)

Speaking of sharing coupons, does anyone have any Gerber Good Start Formula checks or coupons or any wipes coupons they want to pass on?!?!

SUYL

This morning I'm linking up with Kelly for this Firda's Show Us Your Life:
Where do you shop for kids
I like Ellie to look cute anytime we go somewhere. Because let's face it, sometimes I'm just wearing jeans and a sweatshirt, so one of us has to look put together!!

I typically shop for Ellie at all the usual places:
*Target-That's where I found this amazing onesie and this adorable tutu dress.

*Children's Place-the have the best jeggings. I have bought a pair in EVERY size. They go with anything, Sometimes I get so sick of pink/purple/brown pants with ruffles on the butt.

*Meijer-yes, Meijer. They have a lot of Carter's stuff for about half the price. We typically get pajamas and holiday themed outfits there.

*Babies R Us-they have amazing deals on their clearance stuff. I got a 3-piece set for $5!
Yatzee!!
And to be completely honest I have bought a lot of her stuff from mom2mom sales. I have found some really great outfits there, for an amazing price. Ellie is on the dainty size so none of her clothes have fit her like we thought they woul.d I have to buy her a complete new wardrobe for fall/winter because she is almost 10 months and is in 6 month clothes.
{She doesn't get that from me!!}

I got all of Ellie's adorable headbamds from Etsy.
SO affordable. I got 10 crocheted headbands with 15 flowers for $20. She often fors $1 bow sales. An entire headband for $2?? You can't find that anywhere check her out!

If I had all the money in the world I would buy a lot of her clothes from Etsy. I love handmade stuff. And I like having outfits that you don't see everyone else wearing.

Do you have any good shops with good deals??
I'm in the market for some baby clothes shopping!!

SUYL Bible Studies

This Friday over at Kelly's Korner she's doing a Show Us Your Life about your favorite Bible studies/Devotions.
Let me introduce you to Beth Moore

I just love her!
She has a heart for womens ministry and is such a woman of God. She definitely knows her Scripture.
One of her gifts is bringing Biblical characters to life. I am dying to do her Esther study.

I have done two of her Bible Studies, Stepping Up and Believing God.

One of my favorite things about her studies is that they (all the ones I know of) are meant to be done as a group. Stepping up: Psalms of Ascent was the first Bible study that the recently formed women's minisrty (Sisters in Spirit) at my church did. It was such a great way to bring us all together. I now have relationships with women at my church that I never even knew before.

The studies that I have done are amazing. I recently went back through the Stepping Up workbook, and it was just as great as the first time. She tells it like it is and isn't afraid to talk about the hard stuff.

Just this August I went to one of her Womens Conferences with some women from our church. It was incredible!!

Don't forget to enter my giveaway for a F.R.E.E. digital scrapbooking software kit from My Memories.

...It's so simple...
yet so amazing!

SUYL Baby Showers

Linking up with Kelly for Show Us Your Life

This summer I helped throw TWO baby showers!
Both of my sisters(in-law) Raychal and Andrea were pregnant, and both were waiting to find out the gender!
The were due August 2nd (baby girl August 7th) and October 1st.

Aren't they the cutest little preggos ever?!

We had a surprise sprinkle for my sister Raychal who was having her third!
It was just a few close friends and family. We had chicken and rice, green bean casserole, cherry delight, and some muffins for lunch.

We had some amazing desserts like cupcakes, chocolate covered strawberries, chocolate covered Oreos, and homemade snickerdoodles!

A month later we had a shower to celebrate with my sister Andrea. Each seat at the table had a packet of seeds as a favor. We had a table set up by the door with different shapes and different color scrapbook paper for everyone to write prayers, thoughts, and blessings for the new family.

The cake was so good!

Andrea's cousin is pregnant too so we had three cute preggos there that day!!

My step-sister Staci handed out patches of fabric to everyone to write a message to the new baby on and she is going to make my sister a quilt that she can give to her baby. She also made one for Ellie and it is the most adorable thing ever. It was so fun to read all the squares when she was finished, I know Ellie will always cherish it and remember how much she is loved and how much we all loved her ever before she was here!
