Friday's Letters

Photobucket

Dear Ellie: Could you please go back to sleeping through the night. Please? I know you have a stuffy nose, but we are going on a week of you being up from 3-4 hours every night, typically from 12-4. I am about to lose my mind. Mommy is cran-kay when she is tired. Just ask daddy. Tonight we will be giving you a little dose of Benadryl to dry up your nose-ok and maybe in hopes it will make you very sleeeeepy. (Benadryl is per the Dr's orders, we're not trying to drug up kid into sleeping)
Dear Mike: Thank you for putting so much work into painting our house. We are no where close to being finished, but I am so glad that you aren't whining the entire time we are painting. If you were I might just have to smother you in your sleep err I mean uhhh... moving on.
Dear Awkward: You are everything I look forward to on a Thursday night. (Until the fall line-up of course) I love your one-liners, and the way you never fail to make me laugh.
Dear Brain: Would you just shut off already. When my head hits the pillow I am ready to be ahhh-sleep. Not lie there for hours making lists and having you run wild. I need you to shut it down when the lights turn off, especially due to the aforementioned lack of sleep we're getting because of little miss screamy pants.
Dear Liberals: It took everything in me not to jump out of my car and shake some sense into you during your little protest today. If I hear "we are the 99%" one more time I'm going to shove pencils in my ears.

We get it, you don't like Romney, but do you even know WHY you like Obama? Hope and change, Yes we can, I want free money and food- I think this little video about sums it up.

You're Welcome

Friday's Letters

Photobucket

Dear Mike: Thank you for being so amazing. You have been so supportive lately and it means so much to me. I am so glad that you are trying to speak my love language(s) but please stop loving me with food! After today-today you can buy me Panera and Ben and Jerrys. Don't forget the Ben and Jerrys.
Dear Elle my belle my darling daughter: Why are you just so stinkin' cute. When you say "I luv lew" I die. My heart literally bursts.I think soon you will realize those three little words will stop my world just long enough for you to get whatever you want. But the whining/temper tantrum throwing- not so much. That doesn't go over so well.
Dear House: It is time. After 3 years of living here we are finally going to paint every square inch of you-except the upstairs, we are going to pretend that doesn't exist. I know it took me almost $30 in paint samples, 3 different shades of brown, and 4 shades of blue/slate/grey but I think I made up my mind. Yes, I have. Wait, or should I do a lighter shade of red? Crap.
Dear Gnome that lives in our house and steals our stuff: Please feel free to paint the house while we are sleeping. I think it is only fair after all the things that have gone missing from our house.
Dear Mike: About those love languages, sure I love snuggling at night, but if you can't stop being twitchy Magoo stay on your own side of the bed. Contrary to what you may think, there are sides of the bed.
Replace the her with him and this is my life.
Dear Michigan: I am loving this 60* weather. I am even ok with the rain. Autumn, please come quickly! I will cherish you this year, I promise. I will even go to a cider mill.

Dear Facebook: I have made it this long with out Timeline only to log in this morning to get that dreaded message.  I do not understand the new layout. I am still trying to figure out the "new" blogger. Too many changes, too many changes...
What have you done to me?

Happy Friday!!

Fridays Letters

Dear Weight Watchers: I am expecting amazing results from you! So far I am down 3lbs since Monday, don't let me down. And thank you for those delicious spinach and mushroom Lean Cuisine pizzas!! I'm in Heaven.
Dear Ellie: I love you, I really do. But I don't want to hear you before 8 a.m. You were doing so good; sleeping until 8:00-8:30 for months. What the crap is up with these 6:45 wake up calls. And less than 1 hour naps during the day? I am going to die. Momma needs her sleep. I know you have been much crankier lately because of your sleep and there lack there is..explaining the meltdown of 2012 this week. Momma is cranky too, and nobody wins when momma is cranky. So thank you for sleeping in until 10:00 today. I feel less likely to lose my mind. Keep it up!
That line is a shadow, not a bruise-I swear!!

Dear Husband: I am once again amazed at how...well...amazing you are. Letting me sleep in every Monday and Wednesday morning. You are a life saver. I'm pretty sure it's because you know how cranky I can get. Exhibit A: Last Saturday morning. (Sorry about that). And thank you for being there for me whenever I need you. I am so grateful for you and your loving arms.
Dear vacation: I am so excited for you! You are getting so close, but yet not close enough to start packing. So I will have to satisfy myself with making lists. Lots of lists. Written lists, mental lists, lists on the big whiteboard, post-it notes on everything..etc.

Dear Ellie: (again) even though this has been a week full of crankiness-on both sides-I do have to tell you how much you've been cracking me up lately. I could just sit and watch you play for hours. You mimic everything. Dinner is filled with a chorus of "Ellie-can you do this." "Ellie can you do this." "Ellie can you say ___." And you never fail to entertain. I love you sweet girl-crankiness and all!
Dear God: I am still struggling with our loss. I know that all things work together for good, but I'm having a hard time seeing the good right now. But I will continue to trust you and thank you for your unfailing love.

Happy Friday!

Friday's Letters

Photobucket

Dear Husband: Thank you for being so amazing. Especially in the past few weeks. I can't thank you enough for all the things you have done for me, and for taking care of Ellie and letting me sleep in almost every day. You are the best.

Dear Michigan: We get it, it's summer. You can lighten up with the 100* days. It's almost too hot to go outside. It's really putting a hamper on my summer plans. And enough with the storms. The power outage at the splash pad Thursday really ruined our plans. I didn't appreciate the 45 min drive and the waste of gas.
Dear Adam: I don't know what you did, but I'm pretty sure if I were Brittney this would have pissed me off even more.

Dear Ellie: Watching you run around so excited to see all the animals at the petting zoo was so fun! I love seeing your little face light up. But remember, it is a DONkey not a MONkey, I think you were confusing the other children.

Dear Pop-Ice: You light up my life. Your simple deliciousness never ceases to make me happy. And thank you for being able to keep Ellie distracted enough to stay in the pool and stop screeching.
Dear God: I am having a really hard time understanding your plan. I don't know why things happened the way they did, but I am trusting that You have something amazing in store for us. Feel free to let me know what that is.

Happy Friday!

Fridays Letters

Dear Mouth: Learn when to say no. Practice with me N-O. N.O. NO. You don't have to say "YES" to everything anyone ever asks you to do. Because then you end up frustrated and overwhelmed. NO. You get it?
Dear Hubby: Thank you so much for getting Ellie up this week and letting me sleep in until 8:40 when you have to leave for work. That little extra sleep goes a looong way! You are the best I love you.
Dear Ellie: I'm sorry I filled our house to capacity with babysitting these past few weeks. You have become way more whiny and clingy as of late and I know it's because you are overwhelmed. I don't mind the fact that you are being extra snugly though. I am always game for some baby hugs. Just not in the middle of the night, OK.
Dear Tony Horton: I'm sorry that I have broken up with you as of late. I needed the extra sleep. Really I did. In order to have the maximum level of patience I could not get up at 6:00am. But now that my house won't consist of 6 kids 5 and under I will see you bright and early next week. Unless I decide to cheat on you with Jillian Michaels.
Dear motivation: What is wrong with you?  You are in a wedding in 26 days. TWENTY-SIX days. Hello?!?! That means you will be standing in front of 200+ people and you have to wear a dress. Not a hoodie and jeans. Get your self together.
Can you just pop those canine teeth through already? I have a feeling that has something to do with the aforementioned whiny-ness too. I feel for you I really do, I remember what it was like when my wisdom teeth came through and I was pretty whiny too. But thank you for continuing to crack me up and entertain me all day. You are so sweet!

Friday's Letters

Photobucket

Dear Mom2Mom Sale Be prepared-I am expecting to make a lot of money off our business tomorrow. Be prepared for Delicate Darlings to blow your mind with our gorgeous tutu dresses and adorable hair accessory holders. I am not however excited to the early morning wake-up call on a Saturday.
Dear Michigan Weather Thank you for the gorgeous weather that we had yesterday early afternoon, taking the kids to the park was so much fun! It was so nice to be able to actually get out of the house. I did not appreciate the rain after nap time. Let's get it together shall we?
Dear Ellie You are so stinkin cute. I loved playing with you yesterday and watching you fearlessly run all around the park and make "friends" with all the other kids. But I am going to be keeping an eye on the little boy that picked you a flower. You aren't allowed to date until you are married. Watching you "rock, rock" in your rocking chair is so adorable, but you quickly learned why we don't stand on it.

Dear Hubs I am so excited for the work schedule that you are going to have during the summer semester. It will be so nice to see you more during the week...and I will love sleeping in on the days that you go into work late. I thank you in advance for letting me sleep in ;) I am already planning all the adventures that we can take Ellie on this summer!
Dear body I am expecting some pretty extreme results from this p90x that I am making you do. I am not going to be sore for nothing. We have 2 weddings to get ready for, you better not let me down!
Dear Ellie I just have to again how much I love you and enjoy being able to spend every day with you. Your little personality cracks me up and you  just amaze me every day-but I could do away with this new 5:00pm "witching hour" you get everyday while I try to make dinner.

Friday's Letters

Dear Michigan I thought that we came to an agreement about the weather. We talked about this last week when you gave us amazing 80* days. So what is with this 40* crap that you have sent our way this week?? Get it together I have big plans for this spring.I expect more from you next week.
Dear Tony Horton why do you make me workout so hard to have a killer bod? Your p90x is going to be the death of me. I am going to buy stock in Motrin for all the parts of me that are sore this week. I better see some banging results in 90 days or we are going to have a Little chat.
Dear Ellie Why are you so sweet? You are at such a fun stage and I love watching you learn and grow. You crack me up. Please stay out of the DVDS you know your dad has them in order and goes into an OCD panic attack when they aren't where they are supposed to be. And don't be such a daredevil, you are going to crack your head open if you don't stop climbing onto the fireplace ledge and standing up on all of your toys. Keep on dancing, you provide endless entertainment for everyone!

Dear Dr Pepper Cherry why oh why do you taste so good. You are chocked full of crabs and sugar but you are just so inviting. Please stop taunting me at the grocery store and convincing me to buy you.

Have an amazing weekend!!

Friday Letters

Dear Michigan I think that you are a little confused. It is MARCH not MAY. But I won't complain. I am however a little nervous about what you have in store for this summer if you are going to be this hot already. However; thank you for the amazing weather that you are giving us. We are really enjoying spending time outdoors, we just cant wait for the splash park to open!
Dear Jillian Michaels I don't like you. I don't like 30 day shred. Can't I just sit on the couch and watch you work out and end up with a hot bod and killer abs? No?
I will see you on Monday.
Dear Husband How is it we live in the same house and I feel like I haven't seen you all week. I miss you. Can we spend some time together snuggling this weekend??
Dear Ears I know it has been quite the adjustment with all the new noise that we have had this week. Going from one kid to four is a pretty big change.  I told you that you will adjust. Be warned, tt isn't going to be getting any quieter any time soon.
Dear Ellie We are almost out of the croupy woods. I am going to put you in a bubble for the rest of the year so you can't get sick again. Momma wants to go back to the gym. You have been cracking me up with all your crazy dance moves, I think you have more rhythm that I do! Thanks for helping us unpack boxes this week. You are just too sweet.

Friday's Letters

Linking up with Adventures of Newlyweds for
Photobucket

Dear Husband: Thank you for parking behind me last night and riding your bike to work and taking your car keys with you and refusing to answer either of your phones so I am trapped in the garage and had to cancel Ellie's Dr. appointment this morning. Even though I am uber annoyed I still love you and you are such an amazing dad!

Dear Ellie: Can we please stop getting colds so that we can rejoin the real world and venture outside of our house again sometime this year?!? I would love to take you to the park! But thank you for being so sweet and still in such a good mood while you are all croupy. You melt my heart.

Dear Ears: Please prepare for the dramatic increase in noise level that we are about to experience on a regular basis once another family with three kids moves in with us. I promise you will adjust.
Dear Weather: Please try to make up your mind and stick with this gorgeous weather. I have a lot of plans for this spring and I am not in the mood to have you ruin them with a snowstorm.

Dear iPhone: I love you. I have missed you. I am so glad you have returned to me. But I do not appreciate keeping me up until 2:00 last night playing Cross Fingers. We are going to have to come to some sort of agreement with how long you make me play your enticing games.

Happy Friday, I hope you're weekend is beautiful!
