Just Some Fluff

I just haven't been able to blog lately.
I am sure my absence has been felt by all my fans.
(insert sarcasm)

It just feels like everything I could possibly say is so

insignificant

I have posts written in my head that I just can't seem to type out.
It's been a really rough few weeks.
With events that just rock you to the core.

So instead of trying to put my thoughts in order here is some fluff.

I was making a .F.R.E.E. photobook on shutterflylast week
(which was really annoying trying to use a keyboard where half the keys are super hard to press due to a Dr. Pepper landslide...thanks Dear)
and I went through all the old pictures of Ellie.
I can't believe how much she has grown.
And changed.

Holy Moses my baby is so big,

This girl has a strong will
...I just can't figure out where she gets it from...
Surely not her mother.

We went swimming in our friends pool last week and she lost her mind.
She didn't want to be held in the water.
She didn't want to float in her floatie.
She wanted O!U!T!
The only way to keep her still was to feed her pop-ice.
She likes to do everything herself. So that pretty much nixes any future trips to the pool.
She seems to like the splash park though. I'm sure it's because she can "do it herself."
We're heading off on vacation in a few weeks and it will be fun to see what it's like now that she is a year older.

At the splash pad last year.

Oh and...
We have our Independence Day tutu sets for sale over at our Etsy shop

Who doesn't love a little red, white, and blue??

Last Dance, Last Chance

We've had some pretty nice weather so far this Week. Ellie decided she finally wanted to get in the pool. Evidently it had warmed up enough for her liking.
(Don't mind the grass in the pool. It's from the older kids hopping in and out)

Today is an ozone action day or whatever so they are saying that we should stay indoors.
Awesome.
It's going to be a crazy day. Maybe I will go walk the mall.

TODAY IS THE LAST DAY TO ENTER THE GIVEAWAY
Don't miss out on your chance to win this gorgeous tutu set for your daughter, niece, granddaughter, god-daughter, friend down the street etc etc!!

Sometimes and Always

Linking up with Megan for

Sometimes: I am so excited when Ellie sleeps in until 9:00am
Always: I am no amused when she is soaked thru and I have to give her a bath and wash sheets first thing when I wake up
For the record-I don't think she was amused either

Sometimes: I have pajama days during the week
Always: I have pajama days during the week-WHOOPS

Sometimes: Ellie's toys start playing themselves late at night and I get freaked out
Always: I am convinced Casper lives in our living room and I have to sing "God is bigger than the boogie man..."

Sometimes: I take my car mom-mobile through the drive thru car wash
Always: I get so frustrated trying to actually get my wheels in the little track that i just put it in revers and hightail it out of there.

Sometimes: I really want to paint our house
Always: I hate painting and I get overwhelmed and it doesn't happen.
Anyone wanna come paint for me?!?!

Weekend Rewind

Linking up with Tami for

Little Moments Like This

We had a pretty great, relaxing weekend.
Friday my sister and I went grocery shopping (which includes a trip to Aldis, Kroger, and Meijer...phew!!) and decided to surprise the kids and got everything we need to make S'mores.
So after picking up some Pasta Hut for dinner we headed outside and started the fire. Ellie had never had S'mores and she L.O.V.E.D. them! I would turn my heard for a second and she would be sneaking marshmallows out of the bag

Saturday we had a low key day at home and Ellie spent time playing with and feeding her baby. It cracks me up how much she learns just by observing!

Sunday we went to a BBQ for my Step-brother-in-laws 30th birthday. There was a black lab puppy and Ellie was o.b.s.e.s.s.e.d. She followed her around all day. Mike kept trying to convince me that Ellie needs a puppy but I DO NOT agree.

It was like 908 on Sunday so I to the garage sale down the road and bought a new (still in the package) baby pool and after naps the kids loved playing in it. Well except for Ellie, if you dipped her in it she said "no,no,no,no don't". And no one would sit down in it because the water was freezing cold. What are ya gonna do? Maybe the water will actually be warm by the end of the week!

Hope you all enjoyed your weekend!

Delicate Darlings GIVEAWAY!

My sisters and I are so excited to do this giveaway.

We started Delicate Darlings a few months ago and opened our Etsy shop earlier this month.
We have an assortment of tutu sets and hair accessory holders for sale in our shop.

Every Delicate Darling Tutu Set INCLUDES the attached top AND a coordinating headband!

Our tutu sets photograph beautifully, making them a must have for pictures! They fit from NEWBORN TO APPROXIMATELY 2 YEARS. They also look adorable as a special birthday outfit on her big day or any special occasion you choose! Any little girl would love receiving one of these as a gift and we suspect it would earn you some points with her mom, too.

We make our tutus from premium nylon tulle. We use a MINIMUM of 75 YARDS of tulle, depending on the length you need, for a very full tutu that provides great coverage. The soft, stretchy crocheted top is not only comfortable but also allows for a lot of wear. For example, you could photograph your little one at home, every month in her first year, in the same tutu set and display how much she's grown at her first birthday party! We layer two crocheted tops to keep your little one covered. This also allows for an accent color to show through the outer top, if you choose.

Here are some of our favorite creations:

We can make any custom order for you and are in the process of making festive Fourth of July tutu sets to celebrate Independence day.

What better way to celebrate our grand opening than with a giveaway??
So without further adieu

We are offering this beautiful "Cotton Candy" tutu set (including headband) to one lucky follower

Delicate Darlings

I'm linking up with Kelly today for SUYL what you make or sell.

Between my two sisters and I we have 4 girls under 5 and we love dressing them up in girly, frilly, fun outfits and accessories. The three of us love to craft and enjoy making things for our girls and other people so a few months ago my sisters and I started throwing around the idea of starting our own little business and creating all things girly. At first it started as just something fun that we would talk about when we got together, but the more we talked about it the more we wanted to see it happen.

We've been praying that God would show us if this is something He wants us to do, and we are so excited to see where things go from here. Thanks for stopping by and taking a look at our creations!

Delicate Darlings

One of our specialties is our beautiful tutu-dresses. The tops are 2 crocheted 6 inch bands for total coverage and modesty.
There are 2 layers of tulle on the skirt for maximum fullness.

We also offer framed hair accessory holders
that accent any nursery or bedroom.

This is a fun way to display and
 protect your hair accessories

Accessory holders can be made with or with-out fabric. Here is one full of flowers.

Friday's Letters

Photobucket

Dear Mom2Mom Sale Be prepared-I am expecting to make a lot of money off our business tomorrow. Be prepared for Delicate Darlings to blow your mind with our gorgeous tutu dresses and adorable hair accessory holders. I am not however excited to the early morning wake-up call on a Saturday.
Dear Michigan Weather Thank you for the gorgeous weather that we had yesterday early afternoon, taking the kids to the park was so much fun! It was so nice to be able to actually get out of the house. I did not appreciate the rain after nap time. Let's get it together shall we?
Dear Ellie You are so stinkin cute. I loved playing with you yesterday and watching you fearlessly run all around the park and make "friends" with all the other kids. But I am going to be keeping an eye on the little boy that picked you a flower. You aren't allowed to date until you are married. Watching you "rock, rock" in your rocking chair is so adorable, but you quickly learned why we don't stand on it.

Dear Hubs I am so excited for the work schedule that you are going to have during the summer semester. It will be so nice to see you more during the week...and I will love sleeping in on the days that you go into work late. I thank you in advance for letting me sleep in ;) I am already planning all the adventures that we can take Ellie on this summer!
Dear body I am expecting some pretty extreme results from this p90x that I am making you do. I am not going to be sore for nothing. We have 2 weddings to get ready for, you better not let me down!
Dear Ellie I just have to again how much I love you and enjoy being able to spend every day with you. Your little personality cracks me up and you  just amaze me every day-but I could do away with this new 5:00pm "witching hour" you get everyday while I try to make dinner.
